There’s a Techy Romantics song on loop while I was lying in bed this afternoon. The thought of wallowing in a depressive morass was tempting, but who does that on a Sunday?
I do, chos.
Last night in a part-nostalgic, part-masochist whim, I decided to click the teaser for Tonette Jadaone’s Alone/Together. It’s just a trailer, no big deal, but it opened a truck of worms for me, man. Filthy worms. Worms that have followed me all the way from halfway across the world.
So I guess I lied when I wrote this. I still miss home, I really do. Home is like an old lover, a precious flame — the one who taught me what it’s like to love, to kiss, to loll tongue upon tongue while our hearts beat in sync. Wait, what was I writing about again?
Maybe I’m just romanticizing this, whatever this is. The clip is just a trailer, the Sunken Garden is just a place, and my home is just a country. Big fucking deal, Jolens. Now get out of your fucking head.
The featured image was made after I decided to wake up from the coma and get out of my mind (ajejeje). It’s based on Boss Hog’s Drinkin’, Lechin’ & Lyin’, which I spotted in rAdishhorse’s Favorite Nude/Sexy Album Covers.
PS: I need to learn how to digitize these watercolor shitbits, don’t I? I can learn how to paint better, but I can also learn how to post-process them, ‘no? Or is that not a thing for watercolor? Tsk, whatever.
Have a happy Sunday / Monday, everyone!
