“Are you saving up for anything right now?”

Do you have a fan/air conditioning on right now?

Nope.

When was the last time you sang along to a song? Which song was it?

I sang along to “Ikaw Ang Aking Tahanan” by Orange & Lemons at least once today.

Are you currently wearing any hair accessories? Which ones?

Just a ponytail.

Have you ever wished you had a different name? Which name would you choose?

I used to want to have a different name, but now I’m, like, kebs.

Do you often press the wrong keys on the keyboard?

Not often.

Have you ever customized an item of clothing? What did you do to it?

I don’t think I have. I sometimes think about doing it though.

When was the last time you got a splinter stuck in you?

I honestly don’t remember.

Do you prefer drawing or painting? Any particular reason why?

I think I’m a better drawer than a painter so I’ll go with drawing for now.

Are you saving up for anything right now? What for?

I’m saving up, yes, but not for anything specific. I just want to have some yay amount of money by mid-year.

Are you any good at playing pinball?

I doubt it.

Do you own any figurines? Of what?

Nope.

If you have any siblings, how much rivalry is between you all?

Not much.

I don’t remember.

If forced to go camping, would you rather sleep in a tent or a caravan?

Caravan, for sure!

Is it dark outside right now?

Yes it is.

How often do you get jealous of other people? What is it usually about?

Not often. I think I get envious of other people more than I get jealous of them. (Apparently there’s a difference.)

Do you prefer framed photos or just sticking photos straight onto walls?

Um, neither? I don’t think I will ever put photos up on my wall. Painting siguro, pwede pa.

What’s your favourite type of cake?

Cheesecake is good. I like strawberry shortcake, too.

Have you ever woken up from a dream and believed it to have been real?

Yes, I’ve had those dreams before.

This morning.

How tired are you right now?

On a scale of 1 to 10, maybe an 8.

When was the last time you had an argument with someone? What was it about?

I don’t remember.

If there’s a bug in your room, can you sleep or do you need to get it out?

Depends on the size, I guess? If it’s huge then I will get it out as soon as I see it. If it’s tiny I will just leave it in peace.

Can you drive yet? How good are you at it?

Yea, I’ve been driving for a long time now. I’m okay at it. Not good, not bad. Just okay.

Do you prefer travelling alone or with people?

With people. I prefer living alone though, haha.

Did you listen to the radio today?

Nope.

What was the last baby animal you saw?

I don’t remember.

Is it warmer or colder in your house than outside?

Warmer.

When was the last time you threw up?

Last year.

Do you give people high fives or hugs more often?

Neither?

Have you ever tie-dyed something?

I don’t think so.

Name something you thought was cool when you were younger but don’t now.

When I was younger, I thought it was cool to be average. Not excellent, not perfect. Average. I didn’t want to be one of those kids who tried too hard to get good grades or who worked too hard to be the best at something. I thought being average was good enough, and I thought it was cool because being average — and being okay about being average — proved that you couldn’t care less about arbitrary standards.

I mean, I had a point, didn’t I? Hehe. I’m still okay about being average now, but I no longer think it’s necessarily “cool” to be one.

How long does it usually take you to get to sleep?

Depends how tired I am.

When did you last get a papercut?

I don’t remember.

Which do you prefer: blackboards or whiteboards?

I think whiteboards are cheaper?

What sort of things do you have bookmarked in your internet browser?

Mostly stories, poems, and links to articles and websites that I find interesting. The ones that are up on the shortcuts bar right now are for two short stories — “How to Become a Writer” by Lorrie Moore and “Girls, At Play” by Celeste Ng — and links to the Smithsonian Open Access and a random “sounds of forest” generator that I learned about through Ena.

Are / were you spoilt? Would others agree or disagree with you?

Nope. My parents are too poor and too busy to spoil any of us kids.

What are you wearing right now?

A sweater, a pair of shorts, a scarf.

What was the last book you read?

The last book was Tell the Machine Goodnight by Katie Williams, but I also just finished reading a collection of short stories written by a CW grad student for her thesis. Good shit, hehe.
